HIPPY OTTAWA VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
In order to establish a rapport with parents and staff, CFUW-Ottawa volunteers for this worthwhile community project are expected to participate in at least three meetings/events during the school year. These 2-hour meetings/events are held on Saturday mornings and some Friday evenings. Also, as HIPPY Ottawa is based at the Vanier Community Service Centre (VCSC), volunteers must meet the VCSC’s screening criteria through:
■ an interview with VCSC’s Volunteer Coordinator
■ a current valid police check (a letter is provided so the cost of the police check is waived)

A Word to the Wise…
If you are interested in volunteering in September 2012, start the interview and police check as soon as possible, as the process can take quite a lot of time.
