    Speaker: Maureen Pytlik, a recipient of CFUW-Ottawa's Helen Nininger Scholarship for Music At Carleton University. Maureen is completing her double Honours BA, in Music and Mathematics.
    Topic: From Obstacles to Opportunities: My Journey to Success at University.

    Maureen is also a talented clarinetist. She will perform Adagio - Allegro moderato ( first movement) from
    Felix Mendelssohn's Clarinet Sonata in E Flat Major.

    CFUW-Ottawa's scholarship trust recipients will be presented at this general meeting.

    Topic: Simple Strategies to Build Resilience in Daily Life. Speaker: Prof. Rachel Thibeault.


     Dr. Thibeault, an Officer of the Order of Canada, has developed rehabilitation and social integration programs for landmine survivors, war-affected children, and people living with HIV/AIDS and leprosy.

    The Fundraising event is sponsored by the CFUW-Ottawa Study and Interest Group-University Women Helping Afghan Women. 

    The proceeds of the meal will go towards the CFUW-Ottawa scholarships at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa

    The proceeds of the Silent Auction and Raffle will support the scholarships for Afghan Women at the Gawharshad Institute of Higher Education in Kabul, Afghanistan.

    Registration is open to all CFUW-Ottawa members and guests { women and men }

    Tickets to the NAC Lunch -  $45 { includes tax and service charge }

    Ticket sales start at the March 9th General Meeting. After that date, please contact Alice Bolt to register. 

    All cheques are to be made payable to "UWHAW".
